True DMR's
Do you own a rifle that can be considered a TRUE DMR? Here's mine for all to decide
KWA SR10 (base gun)
Full/non ported cylinder, polished, with silicon sealant between cylinder and cylinder head
SP140 Spring
Matrix Magnum motor
EdGI 509x6.03mm tightbore, stabilized in outer barrel with teflon tape
Hop up bucking secured to barrel with string
Tappet plate modded to semi-only operation
Uses .28g silica BB Bastard's or .4g Goldenball's
I feel like I'm forgetting something...
EXTERNALS
20" fluted outer barrel with compensator
12" UFC style free float tube with bipod lug and short rails on either side
ApexTac 4x32 Trijicon ACOG replica
Magpul PRS
KA harris style bipod
Magpul MIAD grip
JDG Camouflage Design custom paint job
Specs:
FPS: ~510
ROF: N/A
Range: 250ft accurately, up to 300 with luck

Re: True DMR's
How can a tappet plate be modded to semi-only? By that do you mean selector plate? Also what is the consistency? That is one of the most important factors in my book. Accuracy>Range>Consistency>Fps. I just upgraded a combat machine. *chrono test* 401.5, 401.5, 401.7.

Re: True DMR's
I really think it's best to get rid of the terms "accuracy" and "range" and instead use "effective range". That is, the maximum range at which one can reliably hit a target.
And yes, he means selector plate.

True, range is useless without accuracy and vice versa.DHM078 wrote:I really think it's best to get rid of the terms "accuracy" and "range" and instead use "effective range". That is, the maximum range at which one can reliably hit a target.

Re: True DMR's
No, I mean tappet plate. The selector plate still goes to full auto but the gun will only fire semi.
And sorry, effective range is what I mean.
And the FPS has not deviated more than 1 fps in chrono tests.

Re: True DMR's
That's why I said "250' accurately" under range. 300 is the max range. 250 is the effective. And I agree that accuracy>range>consistency>fps . I only have the SP140 installed to be able to more effectively use the .4g's. The consistency like I said is less than 1 fps. The effective range is as stated.
Re: True DMR's
I think you're confused. There's no possible way a tappet plate can regulate semi vs full auto fire. The tappet plate is the plastic plate that runs parallel to the cylinder and attaches to the nozzle. The sector gear pulls it back to pull back the nozzle and a spring is attached to it which brings it back forward. This allows the nozzle to chamber rounds. The plastic plate on the side of the outside of the gearbox shell is the selector plate. Once modified for semi-only, you can still switch it to auto with the selector switch, but it will still fire in semi because the plate no longer interacts with the cutoff lever.

Re: True DMR's
That's just what the tech said he did lol. He must've been mistaken, it was the selector plate then, sorry. Like I said, most of this work was done by a tech long before I had any gearbox knowledge. The polishing and airseal work I did myself.
Re: True DMR's
Wow, that is excellent consistency, nice work!JGeller wrote:That's why I said "250' accurately" under range. 300 is the max range. 250 is the effective.
